Michael Ronaldson is a former Australian politician who served the Parliament of Australia for 22 years. He was a Senator for the state of Victoria representing the Liberal Party from July 2005 until February 2016, and previously served in the House of Representatives for Ballarat from 1990 to 2001.
Michael has been a member of the Liberal Party since 1981. He served as the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC, and the Special Minister of State from 2013 to 2015. He was also a local Councillor for the City of Ballarat from 1981 until 1987.
In May 2016 Michael was appointed non-executive director of Australia Post, and has previously served as non-executive director on the boards of Snowy Hydro Ltd and Berklee Pty Ltd. Prior to entering politics, Michael worked as a solicitor and a barrister. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne.
