Kathy Casey

Senior Government Advisor

Kathy provides advice and assistance to InnoWell Pty Ltd on its government relations and stakeholder engagement strategy. For much of the past 20 years, Kathy has worked in various ministerial advisory roles to the Coalition, covering the Mental Health and Aged Care portfolios at the federal level as Chief-of-Staff to the Hon Christopher Pyne, MP, and as Senior Adviser to the Hon Sussan Ley in the areas of Mental Health, Aged Care and Disabilities.

Kathy has also served as Adviser to the Hon Michael Ronaldson, Special Minister of State; Chief-of-Staff to the Hon Mal Brough MP; and as Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister, working closely with the PM’s senior advisory team to develop the Coalition’s mental health policy leading up to the 2016 election campaign.

Kathy played an integral role in the establishment of beyondblue: the national depression initiative in 2000, where she first developed an interest in mental health and worked with Prof Ian Hickie and Prof Jane Burns; headspace: the National Youth Mental Health Foundation; and the Young and Well Cooperative Research Centre.
